AMARILLO - Winpark Place, a strip center under construction near Hillside Rd. and South Bell St., plans to be up and running by April 2017.

As many as 18 businesses could call the $3.5 million shopping center home by spring 2017.

Three buildings will take up 35,000 sf at Winpark.

“If you look at it from an aerial (view),” Brian Shinall, manager and co-founder of the Shinall Group said, “you see this four-acre vacant piece of land that looks like a hole in a donut.”

The site is on route to Interstate 27 popular with many residents of newer neighborhoods to the west.

Shinall said 3,000 of those sf will be occupied by Edes Custom Meats. Additionally, Dickey’s Barbecue had already been announced as a tenant.
