WASHINGTON, D.C. – Personal finance website WalletHub ranked the nation’s best housing markets. Six Texas markets landed in the top ten, with three North Texas cities taking the top three spots.

Frisco ranked first, McKinney second, and Richardson third on the list.

Other Texas cities making the top ten were Austin (fifth), Allen (sixth), and Plano (ninth).

To identify the best real-estate markets, WalletHub’s analysts compared 300 U.S. cities using 16 metrics. Those included percentage of underwater mortgages, number of days homes were on the market, percentage of homes selling for a gain, housing affordability, and maintenance affordability.
