​​SHAVANO PARK - Baptist Health System and Woodlands, Texas-based Emerus are expanding their collaboration to develop a seventh emergency hospital in the Alamo City.​ 

The newest project is under construction at Loop 1604 and NW Military Hwy. in far north San Antonio. 

The structure will be nearly 40,000 sf in size and is expected to be ​​completed before December.

Emerus’ Richard Bonnin said the new hospital will have eight emergency-care exam rooms supported by on-site imaging and lab facilities. 

The hospital will take up nearly 10,000 sf of ground-floor space in the new structure. 

The remaining 7,150 sf of real estate on the first floor—as well as 21,550 sf on the second floor—will be reserved for medical and professional office use.
