216-unit Cielo complex changes hands

​SAN ANTONIO – Two companies controlled by Robert Schumacher of California have purchased the 216-unit Cielo apartment complex on the city’s northeast side for $15.5 million.

The 10.4-acre complex near the corner of Nacogdoches Rd. and Wurzbach Pkwy. was previously owned ​​by SA Audubon Investors, a subsidiary of Wheelock Street Capital.​

Formerly known as Audubon, the complex was built in 1985 and was assessed at $13.3 million this year, according to the Bexar Appraisal District.
