TEXAS, U.S. - Dallas-based Southwest Airlines unveiled new uniforms and interiors for their Boeing 737-800 planes earlier this summer, and the designs were conceptualized by employees.

Staff designed the interiors to be more efficient, and there aren’t any carts on these aircrafts, which makes them lighter.
The flight attendants use trays to maneuver around the plane, with the idea being it’s easier for people to move around the cabin.
The uniforms—tested by 120 employees in 37 cities for fit, comfort and performance—will be worn by the airline’s 40,000 employees by mid-June 2017.
The design process included representatives from several different sectors of Southwest like ground operations, technical operations, provisioning and more.
