HOUSTON - Houston homes are among the least accessible to job centers nationally, according to a new report by Redfin Corp.

Houston ranked No. 7 among cities with the worst commute, according to the Seattle-based company.

The Bayou City had an opportunity score of 16, out of a possible perfect score of 100.

Austin ranked No. 9 nationally with an opportunity score of 47, and San Antonio ranked No. 24 in the country with an opportunity score of 32.

Redfin did not have a score listed for Dallas.

Realtors can use Redfin’s opportunity score to show prospective homebuyers which neighborhoods and homes offer the closest proximity to jobs without a long commute.
