SPRING – With the Grand Parkway Marketplace open-air shopping center 75 percent preleased, developer Kimco Realty Corp. is ready to break ground on another just across the street.
The New York-based company has purchased 35 acres for Grand Parkway Marketplace II. Ground breaks this summer on the 350,000-sf shopping center that will have three anchor stores. Opening is slated for fall 2017.
The first Grand Parkway Marketplace broke ground in April at the corner of Kuykendahl Rd. and Spring Stuebner Rd. The 450,000-sf center, which will be anchored by Target, will open in a year.
