The facility will feature six classrooms, a conference center, office space, and training labs for electrical, field service, and pipefitting tech along with HVAC-R programs. Lone Star College System hit record-high student enrollment in 2015. The fast-growing system reported 97,000 students last fall, with nearly 84,000 who will receive credit, making it the largest higher education institution in Houston. The system is the 22nd-biggest government-sector employer in the Houston area with 2,757 employees. A $485 million bond referendum approved by voters in 2014 is funding the educational building project. | Houston Business Journal
