Named Lake Walk Town Center, the 180,000-sf development will be anchored by the five-acre Lake Atlas, with more than two miles of trails, parks, ponds, and other amenities focused on wellness. The 176-room Stella Hotel and The MatureWell Lifestyle Center for seniors are under construction in Lake Walk. Construction will begin soon on a park, a pavilion, and an observation tower. Retail and restaurant spaces also are planned. Planned to open in the spring, the Stella Hotel will have a restaurant and bar offering alfresco dining, two swimming pools, an outdoor bar, a fitness room, 10,000 sf of meeting space, and adjacent backyard event space. The Atlas project is next to the Texas A&M Health Science Center and is two miles from Texas A&M University. The 200-acre community is an extension of the neighboring Traditions Club and Community, which is home to the Texas A&M golf teams. The community is at 4250 S.
