DFW – A Colorado developer that’s already got projects in North Texas has purchased land for two more warehouse buildings.
Denver-based DCT Industrial Trust said that the land purchases total more than 27 acres and will be used to build almost a half million sf of industrial space.
DCT bought 17.5 acres on Miller Rd. in Garland where it plans to build a 270,000-sf office-warehouse building.
DCT also bought almost ten acres near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport off SH 121 where it will develop a 112,000-sf building.
In the Dallas area, the developer has a new 347,198-sf building in Lewisville that opens in September 2016 and a more than 100,000-sf industrial project in Coppell that will be ready in August 2016.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area is one of the top markets in the country for warehouse construction.
At midyear almost 21 million sf of warehouse projects were under construction in North Texas.
