Ross Ave. to get new high-rise
DALLAS – A major project is planned for 2000 Ross Ave. that will shape one of the last downtown blocks left untouched by high-rise development.
Work will start on the project by early next year. It will have a 200-key upscale boutique hotel, 32,000 sf of ground-floor retail, and a 350-unit apartment tower. There will also be a 2,600-stall parking garage on the 2.6-acre tract.
The mixed-use development is being dual-tracked with the renovations at Trammell Crow Center, a 1.2-million-sf office tower. When complete, the tower will have 10,000 sf of added ground-floor retail space.
Stream Realty is the master developer of the project on behalf of the ownership group 2000 Ross Avenue LP out of New York, which is a fund advised by JP Morgan Asset Management. The fund also owns Trammell Crow Center.
HKS is designing the project. HOK is the architect designing the renovations at Trammell Crow Center. Retail Street Advisors is marketing the retail space to potential tenants.
