​​SUGAR LAND – Johnson Development Corp. has sold 26 acres within the Imperial master-planned community in Sugar Land for a mixed-use development that will repurpose existing historic structures.​

Construction is scheduled to begin in September for the 855,000-sf development, called Imperial Market, with a grand opening planned for late 2017.
It will include 290,000 sf of upscale retail space and 90,000 sf of Class A office space above first-floor retail, among other features​.
Located off US 90 between Hwy. 6 and US 59, Imperial Market will incorporate the historic structures of the former Imperial Sugar refinery along Oyster Creek.​
