SUGAR LAND - Greystar is developing Overture Sugar Land, a four-story, 200-unit apartment that will cater to active-adult renters in Imperial Sugar Land.

The new apartment brand will cater to Houston’s growing population of active-adult renters.

The Houston-based multifamily company plans to break ground this year on nearly a dozen Overture-branded apartments across the nation, including two in the Bayou City.

Overture apartments will be located in walkable urban neighborhoods close to shops, restaurants, parks and entertainment venues.

Overture will be geared toward active adults ages 55 and older who are looking to downsize from their suburban homes into a maintenance-free apartment with resort-like amenities and social activities, according to Trent Conner, Greystar’s managing director of development.

The units will feature kitchen islands, wood-style floors, ten-foot ceilings, walk-in closets, full-size washer and dryers and private balconies and patios in select units.
