AUSTIN – A large portion of Southpark Meadows shopping center has changed hands.
Blackstone Group purchased phases one and two of the retail center—totaling 910,000 sf—from RioCan. The property sits at the southwest corner of I-35 and Slaughter Ln.
The deal was part of a $1.9 billion, 50-property portfolio sale. Data from Real Capital Analytics indicates an allocation of $270.8 million for the Southpark Meadows portion of the deal.
Blackstone also acquired the nearby Stassney Heights, a 102,916-sf strip center, for around $30.7 million.
