GRAND PRAIRIE – Connecticut-based Laticrete International Inc.—which manufacturers building materials—has started an expansion of its Grand Prairie manufacturing and distribution facility that will increase its footprint by 70 percent.

The company is adding 70,000 sf of space to its existing 100,000-sf building to help grapple with greater demand for these building materials.
Construction is slated for completion in spring 2017.
"This major expansion is necessary to serve our Texas-region customers, maintain stock and distribute high-volume items and other specialty products," said Henry Rothberg, the company’s owner, in a prepared statement.
Rothberg said the expansion will help serve the "unprecedented growth," of the company’s operations. The hub employs more than 30 workers.
