FRISCO – A joint venture is purchasing 729 acres that will eventually accommodate 3,200 single-family homes and apartments, along with retail and office space.
California-based American Newland Communities LP is teaming up with Japan-based North America Sekisui House LLC on the project.
The tract sits south of Main St. between Independence Pkwy. and Custer Rd. At build out, there will be 1,800 single-family homes and up to 1,400 apartments.
Construction will start by the end of the year. The first 253 home lots will become available to builders in 2017. Homes could be ready for purchase beginning in 2018.
