LEAGUE CITY – The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston has opened a new 150,000-sf hospital.
The three-story hospital expands UTMB’s outpatient and surgical facilities in the area. It includes birthing suites, an emergency department with ten rooms and diagnostics lab, 20 medical/surgery patient rooms, and ten operating rooms.
It was designed by HKS Inc. and Page Architects. McCarthy Building Cos., Vaughn Construction, The Trevino Group, and Robins & Morton served as general contractors.
The League City Campus Hospital is part of UTMB’s $82 million commitment to the Bay Area.
