Houston Gateway office stats 1Q 2016

​​​​​​HOUSTON – Commercial Gateway, the commercial division of the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), has released its area office reports for first quarter 2016.

The first quarter reported direct positive net absorption of more than 1.0 million sf of office space, comparing favorably to the same quarter last year of 676,602 sf and double the average quarterly direct absorption recorded during all of 2015.​

However, the statistics would paint a different picture without the move-ins by local firms into their build-to-suit, single-tenant office buildings, which represented almost 1.5 million sf.
