$100M Dollar General distribution center opens in San Antonio

​​​SAN ANTONIO - ​Dollar General Corp. has opened its $100 million distribution center in East Bexar County.

The 1 million-sf facility, 6601 Cal Turner Dr. in South Foster Industrial Park, will employ more than 530 workers including 36 manager positions, 22 clerical and 480 distribution jobs.

The distribution center will have an estimated annual payroll of $19.2 million.

Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records show estimated construction costs of $50 million.

The facility is expected to serve more than 1,000 stores in Texas and the surrounding region.​
