​​COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct three Texas Water Star conferences in West Texas this month.

The water conservation programs will all hav​e the same curriculum and agenda, and each will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration is $30 per individual (lunch included.)

Dates and locations are:

  • ​June 22, AgriLife Extension office in Taylor County. 1982 Lytle Way, Abilene.​ Contact Robert Pritz, AgriLife Extension agent for Taylor County, at 325-672-6048 or r-pritz@tamu.edu.

  • June 23, AgriLife Extension office in Midland County. 2445 E. US 80, Midland. Contact Jeff Floyd, AgriLife Extension horticulturist at Midland, at 432-498-4071 or jeff.floyd@ag.tamu.edu.

"This trio of educational programs is meant to increase landscape water efficiency in commercial, municipal, and school landscapes," said Marvin Ensor, AgriLife Extension regional program leader at San Angelo.

“The target audience is personnel of those entities responsible for landscaping decisions. That said, anyone interested in learning new technologies and methods for water conservation over large areas, especially during drought conditions, is welcome to attend.”
