​​KILLEEN - ​​​​Last week (May 23-27), Killeen city officials issued a permit worth $1.21 million for the construction of a new Crawford Electric Supply store, to be located at 2600 E. Elms Rd.

This will be a new, bigger location for the business, and the employees will be moving from their current location at 1200 E. Stan Schlueter Loop once it is complete.
​Killeen issued a total of 147 permits last week worth a total of $4.45 million.
Twelve of the permits issued were for the construction of new single-family residences, worth a total of $1.77 million. 
Centex Pulte Homes will construct six of the homes, with three of the homes to be built on Shawlands Drive, two to be constructed on Sandyford Court, and one to be built on Bowfield Drive.
Stylecraft Builders, D R Horton, and DT Symphony Homes will also construct new homes in Killeen.
So far this year, the city has issued $79.3 million worth of permits.​
