HOUSTON – The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will raise ticket prices next year for the first time since the 2011 event.

The changes affect tickets to the rodeo and concerts in NRG Stadium, but some of the most affordable tickets will remain unchanged.

Since the last ticket price increase, the rodeo has improved stadium lighting, video and sound systems; enlarged the video boards; enhanced the entertainer stage; added more educational exhibits; and increased scholarships and other educational program commitments.

The event’s 85th season runs March 7-26, 2017.

Total attendance for all activities on the grounds for the 2016 event was 2,462,030.

Because the rodeo exists, Houston’s annual aggregate gross sales are increased by $475.4 million, according to a study based on the results of the 2010 show.
