DALLAS – Actress Eva Longoria invested some capital in The Turner Multifamily Impact Fund, a real estate fund aimed at helping address the nation’s growing shortage of affordable workforce housing.
The fund has acquired three Texas properties in Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin as part of a larger portfolio buy.
In Dallas, the fund acquired:
Legends on Lake Highlands:
A 27-building, 356-unit apartment complex with two swimming pools, a fitness center and a dog park. The community sits in close proximity to the Telecom Corridor in Dallas, northeast of downtown.
The View at Kessler Park:
An 11-story, 299-unit apartment tower in North Oak Cliff. The 1963-era building was renovated in 2012 and is located in close proximity to the Bishop Arts District and UT Southwestern Medical Center.
The fund is expected to acquire and manage $1 billion in apartment communities in underserved urban communities throughout the country in the next two years.
