Bell County tax allocations up across the board

BELL COUNTY – Municipalities in Bell County are in for some extra sales tax money this month, according to sales tax data released by the Texas Comptroller.

Temple will receive a monthly disbursement of $1,432,811, which is up 1.54 percent from April 2014.

Killeen will receive a disbursement of $1,646,436. That is up 3.85 percent from April 2014. Killeen has been allocated $6,997,060 in 2015, a 7.67 percent increase from this time last year.

Belton will receive a monthly disbursement of $323,530, which is up 1.74 percent from last April.

In April, Harker Heights received $489,189.42, up from $438,696.92 last April, an increase of 11.5 percent. At $2,176,707.74 this year, Harker Heights is up 10.52 percent from 2014.

Copperas Cove will get $321,979, an increase of 1.51 percent from last April’s $317,188.55. So far this year, Copperas Cove received $1,385,641.05, a 3.21 percent increase from 2014.

All of Bell County’s cities combined will receive $3,965,947 for April 2015. That is a 3.62 percent increase from $3,827,077 during April 2014. So far this year, Bell County’s municipalities have received $17,590,423, a 6.75 percent increase compared to this time last year.
