FORT WORTH – A California aviation maintenance company is moving to Fort Worth because of the “business friendly” environment of Texas.

C&S Propeller said it will open a new headquarters facility in south Fort Worth next week with plans to employ more than a dozen workers.

The company performs maintenance and overhaul repairs of propeller systems used by Lockheed Martin C130 Hercules aircraft.

The new headquarters will be at 8717 Forum Way, with the company occupying 18,000 sf of manufacturing and office space.

The majority of C&S Propeller’s customers—commercial operators such as firefighters and cargo haulers—are located on the West Coast or in Florida, making Fort Worth’s central location beneficial.

This is the second California aviation company to move to Fort Worth this year.

Calcomp, a manufacturer of commercial aircraft engine composites, moved a dozen employees from its Santa Fe Springs, Calif., facility to a 25,000-sf manufacturing facility near Northeast Loop 820 and Blue Mound Rd. in north Fort Worth.
