​​​HOUSTON - NewQuest Properties, a Houston-based commercial real estate company with more than $1.4 billion in assets, will look to capitalize on the fastest growing sector of retail with the launch of a new self-storage development group.

The team plans to kick off its initial projects this fall with developments at the 2 million-sf Brazos Town Center in southwest Houston and the 42,825-sf Windcliff Town Center in northwest Houston.

The multi-story, climate-controlled facilities will feature loading docks, freight elevators, 24-hour electronically-secure access and on-site management. 

The facilities will measure between 70,000 to 80,000 sf with 500 to 800 storage units.
