EL PASO – Cinemark is buying ten acres from River Oaks Properties to build its sixth local movie theater.
The Dallas-based movie chain will anchor the proposed Eastlake Marketplace, a 40-acre retail and restaurant center at I-10 and Eastlake Blvd.
Site work for the shopping center is already underway, but construction is still a year or more away.
Cinemark is expected to complete its land purchase this summer.
