LONGVIEW – The Parkview on Hollybrook building nursing home complex, which has been in bankruptcy, has a potential buyer.

A $33.9 million nursing home complex in Longview that’s been bottled up in bankruptcy is a step closer to opening with a potential buyer identified and an auction planned to make it all legal.
Vickie Driver, an attorney representing Zerga Phin-Ker, the two-man partnership that was building Parkview on Hollybrook, said a letter of intent to purchase has been signed by an undisclosed buyer.
Work on the $33.9 million project, at 601 Hollybrook Dr., was halted last year when construction went over budget, according to documents filed in the Eastern District of Texas Bankruptcy Court.
The complex’s outlook improved when the court OK’d a plan to allow the debtor to sell the property to pay creditors.
The independent living campus was to feature one- and two-bed apartments with 9-foot ceilings, granite countertops and walk-in showers.
