PLANO – The new in-car technology company fueling innovations for Japanese automaker Toyota is planning to locate near the new headquarters of Toyota North America in Legacy West.
The new company, Toyota Connected, launched in April and has been charged by Toyota North America to re-invent the way the automaker things about mobility, to anticipate the driver’s needs and useadvanced technology with the help of predictive intelligence.
Zack Hicks, CEO of the new company Toyota Connected, told the DBJ that Toyota Connected planned to begin hiring in May and June, seeking data scientists and people who specialize in technology architecture.
Toyota Connected will be in part of the 336,000-sf Legacy West Urban Village office block. The first spaces in the buildings will be ready late this year.
Toyota Connected has signed a 20,000-sf lease for five years for a boutique office space within the Urban Village of the $3.2 billion, 255-acre Legacy West mixed-use development.
Legacy West is located in West Plano at Dallas North Tollway and Legacy Dr. See the live feed.
