DALLAS - Downtown and its surrounding neighborhoods are increasingly becoming home to more North Texans.
The state transportation department is studying ways to rebuild the highways that cut through these neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, Dallas Area Rapid Transit and city officials are planning to better connect them with a second light-rail route and an expanded streetcar system that connects to the fast-growing McKinney Avenue Trolley.
