HOUSTON - First Service Credit Union has purchased a six-story building in the Energy Corridor for relocation of its headquarters.

The credit union, with ten area branches and more than 58,500 members, will move into a portion of the building at 16430 Park Ten Place this year.

Built in 1982, the building contains 110,452 sf in the Park Ten Office Park.

The credit union paid about $105 per sf for the building, which works out to about $11.6 million.

First Service will initially occupy 35,000 sf of the building, which will house its executive team, mortgage, collections, accounting, technology and call center operations.

The institution plans to reach $800 million in assets by 2018, up from $597 million at the end of 2015.

The credit union opened a Katy branch last year and is remodeling the former Trustmark National Bank at 8640 Spring Cypress in Spring for a branch planned to open this summer.

First Service plans to sell its headquarters at 9621 W. Sam Houston Parkway North, but will keep a branch in the building or nearby.
