HOUSTON – Daikin Industries is nearing completion on a massive, four million-sf, $417 million manufacturing and logistics campus off US 290.
The building is the largest tilt-wall construction project in the world and is expected to be complete mid-2016.
Able to house at least 4,000 workers, the campus will allow Daikin to relocate employees from other parts of the city and from Tennessee.
The facility will have 5,000 parking spaces and will include "one of the largest and most technologically advanced HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) manufacturing facilities in the country," according to Daikin. It will manufacture both ducted and ductless HVAC products.
