HOUSTON – Brookfield Property Partners will launch a $48.5 million renovation of downtown Houston’s Allen Center this summer.

The project is intended to “make the property a destination, offering a mix of features and amenities that will set the standard for mixed-use spaces in the central business district,” according to a website about the transformation.

The property includes One Allen Center and Two Allen Center, which are both nearly 1 million sf and stand at 34 and 36 stories, respectively, as well as Three Allen Center, which is nearly 1.2 million sf and 50 stories.

Construction is expected to begin in June. 

According to data from Commercial Gateway, One Allen Center had 121,763 sf for lease as of March, Two Allen Center had 64,072 sf, and Three Allen Center had 80,741 sf.

Additionally, Two Allen Center had a combined 84,459 sf of sublease space on the market as of March, and Three Allen Center had 117,910 sf.
