TEXAS - You can't just cross the state line and call yourself a Texan. Though membership cards aren't handed out at the "Welcome to Texas" sign, there are certain traditions in the Lone Star State that can make you part of the unique culture.
Here are some of the 29 things the Houston Chronicle suggested to do before you can call yourself a Texan.
Eat at Franklin Barbecue in Austin
Attend a Texas A&M or University of Texas football game
Make a pit stop at Buc-ee's:

Chicken S*** Bingo: The Big T Roadhouse, St. Hedwig.
This isn't your grandma's bingo hall. The chicken feces decides what numbers are called.
Visit Cadillac Ranch (Amarillo):
Show your creative side with a can of spray paint at Cadillac Ranch. The art installation has been there since the 70s.
The Painted Churches, Schulenburg/High Hill
Murals were painted inside about 20 churches after German and Czech immigrants settled in the area about 100 years ago.
You still ain't a Texan until you cross these items off your bucket list!
