CONROE – Gracepoint Homes has opened a new luxury community near The Woodlands.

The Magnolia homebuilder has opened the first model homes in Stillwater, located on 188 acres at I-45 and FM 1488 in Conroe.

The woodsy community, which broke ground in February 2015, is located just west of W.G. Jones State Forest.

Stillwater will feature 381 Carolina Low-Country-style homes on 55-foot, 65-foot, 80-foot and 100-foot properties, starting from the $370,000s to the $800,000s.

Gracepoint has finished developing about a quarter of the sites, and along with its three custom homebuilder partners is now under construction on more than 25 homes in the community.

The Gracepoint homes, which will sit on the 55-foot, 65-foot and 80-foot lots ranging from the $370,000s to the mid-$600,000s, feature expansive front and back screened porches with Charleston-signature sky blue ceilings to ward off mosquitoes during the summers.

The Southern home exterior features a mix of lap siding and brick, and the interior features luxury features, including 11-foot ceilings on both the first and second floors.

Gracepoint is underway on Stillwater’s amenities, which include seven stocked lakes, three pocket parks and an amenity center called the Back Porch with a hilltop view of the lakes and a gathering area with fire pits, lawns and gardens.

Stillwater is zoned to schools in The Woodlands, including Bush Elementary, Mitchell Intermediate, McCullough Junior High and The Woodlands High School.
