Buckner Villas readies for $30 million expansion

​​​​​​​AUSTIN – Buckner Villas, a 25-acre senior living community, is set to break ground this week on a $29.8 million expansion.

The facility, owned by Dallas-based nonprofit Buckner Retirement Services Inc., is located at 11110 Tom Adams Dr. near Braker Lane and Dessau Rd.

The 122,331-sf expansion will add 69 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 70 underground parking spaces. It will increase capacity by 35 percent—from about 400 residents a year to 538.

Three Dallas-based firms are on the project: Hill & Wilkinson is the general contractor, Barbara J. Vessels Interiors Inc. is the interior designer, and DR Architecture is the architect.

Construction is expected to finish by December 2017.
