​​​​​COLLEGE STATION – Businesses off University Dr. are typically some of the first places seen in College Station, but the corridor between Hwy. 6 and Wellborn Rd. is getting a makeover.

More than $150 million worth of redevelopment is happening along University Dr.

From restaurant favorites like Pappadeaux to a $38 million Embassy Suites development near University Dr. and Texas Ave, a lot is happening in College Station.

Chimney Hill next to the Hilton is being demolished, to make room for a Black Walnut Cafe and a New Republic Steakhouse.

​Progress at Century Square near Northpoint Crossing can be seen, and a 16-story high-rise is planned to be built next to The Rise apartments near Northgate.

An H&M store at Post Oak Mall and a Golds Gym, a pet care store, and a number of restaurants near Tower Point are all coming to town as well. ​​
