Fort Hood Area 1Q2016 housing sales trend

​​​​​FORT HOOD AREA - ​StarPointe Realty has released Fort Hood Area Market Statistics​​​ report for first quarter 2016.

Home prices began 2016 on a mostly positive note for the Foot Hood Area, but are a mixed bag for Killeen, the largest city in the area.

Home sales prices for the entire Fort Hood Area were up 5 percent in 1Q2016 versus 1Q2015, but Killeen saw a 13 percent decrease compared to 1Q2015.

Home sales by units were up 6 percent, sell-to-list ratios improved, and 1Q2016 saw building permits outpace 1Q2015 by 13 percent.

The area is keeping consistent, with modest improvement in home values approximately commensurate with inflation.
