HOUSTON - An affiliate of Wile Interests has sold the Katy Green II shopping center in west Houston.

CH Retail/Acquisitions purchased the center, which is occupied by Verts Kebap, Snap Kitchen, Mattress One, Corner Bakery, Masala Wok and Smile Clinique.

The center is at the southwest corner of I-10 and Greenhouse Rd. near the Energy Corridor.

Completed last year, the 19,600-sf center is part of Wile Interests' Katy Green mixed-use development. Among the other retail tenants are Potbelly Sandwich Shop,

Starbucks, Pure Smile and Smashburger. The development also has a 203,000-sf office building.

Retail has been one of the strongest sectors of Houston commercial real estate.

Retail vacancy is expected to stay flat at 5.6 percent in 2016, according to Marcus & Millichap's 2016 outlook report.

Houston will lead the nation in new space delivered in 2016, with developers adding nearly 3.3 million sf of retail space to the local market.
