GRAND PRAIRIE – Global powerhouse Siemens plans to increase the capability of its energy management division by expanding its electrical circuit manufacturing facility by more than 25 percent.

In all, Siemens plans to expand its 197,000-sf existing facility at 501 Fountain Parkway by more than 25 percent, or 50,000 sf of real estate.
The expansion will include about 42,000 sf of manufacturing and warehouse space and 8,000 sf of office space.
Construction on the expansion is slated to officially get underway April 28 at 11 a.m. with an official groundbreaking ceremony.
With this multimillion-dollar expansion, Siemens Energy Management plans to employ a total of 500 workers at site.
Grand Prairie has seen a number of big projects within its city limits in recent months, including Mission Foods’ new tortilla manufacturing facility—which will employ 500 workers—and HelloFresh’s recipe-kit manufacturing facility, which will total 138,000 sf of space and employ 400 workers.
