DALLAS – Dallas Market Center is remodeling the original building in the five million-sf wholesale mart complex on Stemmons Fwy.
Built in 1957 by Trammell Crow as the Dallas Homefurnishings Mart, the 434,000-sf building will get significant exterior and interior upgrades. The last major makeover of the property, which is now called the International Trade Plaza, was in the 1990s.
Dallas Market Center is revamping the ground floor to give interior designers and retailers 220,000 sf. Reconstruction will also add large front windows, exterior doors, and a new entry.
Construction will start this summer. Work will be finished later this year.
