CYPRESS - On April, 10, 2016—exactly 175 years to the day Houston's First Baptist Church was founded in downtown Houston—a groundbreaking was held for the institution's new Cypress campus in the Bridgeland area.

Located on 32.4 acres off the new segment F-1 of the Grand Pkwy., construction officially began on the 100,000-sf facility in late March.

Completion is slated for the end of April 2017.

The initial phase will include a 1,300-seat worship center, an education center for Life Bible study and classroom space for infants through adults.
