DALLAS – The Dallas Market Center is remodeling the original building in the 5 million-sf wholesale mart complex on Stemmons Fwy. northwest of downtown.

Built in 1957 as the Dallas Homefurnishing Mart, the original 434,000-sf building was developer Trammell Crow’s entry into the wholesale trade showroom business.
The Dallas Market Center is revamping the ground floor of the original building—now called the International Trade Plaza—into 220,000 sf of space for interior designers and retailers.
The 59-year-old building will get significant exterior and interior upgrades as part of the redevelopment including the addition of large front windows, exterior doors and a new entry.
Construction will start summer 2016.
