Patrol cars, trucks to 100 acres on San Antonio’s southeast side

SAN ANTONIO – After being on the market for decades, a
four-site property totaling 96.23 acres at 1520 SE Loop 410 between US Hwy. 87
and East Houston St. was finally picked up by the City of San Antonio for a new
southeast maintenance facility.

The city is moving forward on the service center for waste
management trucks, patrol cars and plans to create hundreds of new jobs.

For now, the city is focused on developing 50 acres of the
land since there is a floodplain on the remaining 50 that would require bridge
construction.

The sellers in the transaction were Lakebend
Inc. and Sugar Beet Inc.
