JUAREZ, MEXICO; EL PASO, TEXAS - TPI Composites Inc., a large wind-blade manufacturer, plans to open a second factory late this year in Juárez, across the border from El Paso.

TPI plans to lease a 360,000-sf manufacturing building from Vesta, a large Mexico industrial developer, on a 62-acre site under construction.

Vesta announced in December that it plans to spend $44.4 million in land acquisition and construction costs for the 62-acre development.

The new TPI plant will be east of the Juárez airport on Las Torres Blvd., and near TPI's current Juárez plant.

The new factory will eventually employ about 1,000 people—about the same number that work at the current plant.
