DENISON - Construction on the bridge that will replace the Carpenter's Bluff Bridge over the Red River should start no later than June 6.
The project is expected to cost $7.3 million, half of which will be paid by Oklahoma and the other half by Texas.
The new bridge will be to the west of the old bridge, which will be left standing and used for foot traffic only.
Once the project starts, the contractor, Frontier Bridge, will have 300 days to complete the project.
