Galderma expansion to bring 342 jobs to Fort Worth
FORT WORTH – Though the Galderma Laboratories Fort Worth expansion has been known for months, Gov. Greg Abbott has sent out a statement about the plans and a key announcement.
The company received a $2 million grant offer from the Texas Enterprise Fund.
The fund was created in 2003 “to help attract new jobs and investment to the state,” its website says.
Back in October, the Star-Telegram reported that the dermatological pharmaceutical company was seeking the grant for its $22 million research and development center.
“Galderma’s expansion shows the company’s commitment to serving the Fort Worth community and its workforce needs,” Abbott said in his statement.
The expansion, expected to be completed in 2017, is planned to add around 342 new jobs to the area.
