San Antonio: Weston Urban seals deal for 21-story Milam Building
SAN ANTONIO – Weston Urban has bought the historic 21-story
Milam Building through a limited partnership, according to county property
records.
The new ownership could bring big changes for the Milam,
which was built in 1928 and now leases commercial office space.
The property was most recently appraised at $7.8 million by
the Bexar Appraisal District.
Weston has been involved in several major downtown projects
since its founding in 2012, including the renovation of the 100-year-old Rand
Building, which has become the headquarters of Geekdom.
The company is working with Dallas-based KDC to
develop a $142 million new headquarters for Frost Bank that will be downtown’s
first new office tower since the 1980s.
