San Antonio: Pearl owners hunt down Fox Motel

​SAN ANTONIO – It would be difficult to draw many comparisons
between Hotel Emma and the Fox Motel, but now that Silver Ventures has closed
on the site at 302 Newell Ave., the two have at least one thing in common—Pearl
ownership.

After years of chasing after the parcel at the south end of
Ave. A, Silver Ventures—the private equity firm behind Pearl—finally sealed the
deal.

Silver Ventures isn’t quite sure what to do with it yet, and
is focusing on other developments throughout its 22-acre district.

The site itself is extremely small at less than
8,000 sf and wedged between Newell Ave. and the onramp from Hwy. 281 to I-35.
