HEB drops groceries off in Hutto

HUTTO - ​HEB has unveiled plans to open a new store at 5000 Gattis School Rd.​

The San Antonio-based grocer said it will build a 121,000-sf H-E-B Plus!

The store, which HEB said should open by the end of 2016, will employ about 350 people and anchor ​the forthcoming Star Ranch development near the intersection of Gattis School Rd. and SH 130.​​​​

Special features will include a Blooms floral department, Mia’s Mirror accessory boutique, Texas Backyard lawn-and-garden department, Cooking Connection demo kitchen, an entertainment department, a Healthy Living section with bulk foods and spices, a juice bar and fresh-cut fruit bar in the produce area and a scratch bakery.

A deli, beer-and-wine department, meat market, seafood department and pharmacy are planned, as well.

An on-site gas station will have ten fuel pumps, a car wash and a convenience store.​
